George Vasey

George Vasey is a curator at Wellcome Collection and writer. He has previously worked as curator at Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art, Sunderland and in 2017 co-curated Turner Prize at the Ferens Art Gallery, Hull. He has previously worked as a Curatorial Fellow at Newcastle University and worked on curatorial projects for commercial, public and artist-led galleries. Recent curated exhibitions include 'The Everyday Political', CGP London (2018), 'A Small Hiccup', Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff (2017) and 'Breakin up is Hard to Do', KARST, Plymouth (2015) with Ned McConnell. His writing has appeared in Art Monthly, Apollo, Burlington, Frieze, and Mousse. He is a trustee at Bloomberg New Contemporaries and Tees Valley Arts.
