Marie-Louise Plum

Marie-Louise Plum is a multidisciplinary artist who draws, paints, makes collage and collects, sculpts, make objects, installations, and presents engaging art performances. Her artistic practice takes shape as long-term, thoroughly documented research projects, following themes of social alienation, personal boundaries, ambiguity and subversion of the 'common sense'. Her particular interests are collecting, preservation, letting go, memory, mental states, mortality, sense of self, heritage and identity. She is the founder of arts organisation, Mental Spaghetti, supporting and developing art from the margins, working with individuals at risk of social exclusion, particularly due to mental health distress and complex needs.
