A new solo exhibition of contemporary paintings by Andy Sargent, concerned with different ways of describing the landscape in paint. From more traditional and representational ways of reproducing the landscape, to more alternative and challenging ways of describing it. Andy is a contemporary artist living with a permanent spinal injury, who paints as and when his condition will allow. Painting both on location and in his home, from life and from sketches/photo’s, Andy’s work is a bold and individualistic journey in paint. From his own take on fauvism, to more expressive work bordering on abstraction, it is a collection of vibrant work.
