Our Future Selves brings together Daisy (Disability Arts in Surrey) and DAO (Disability Arts Online) with Surrey Libraries to deliver a series of spoken word events across Surrey in Autumn 2017.
There will be free public spoken word performances by DAO artists at each of the Surrey libraries listed below, with open mic slots available for budding performers.
DAO poets performing in an afternoon event MC-ed by Colin Hambrook will be Richard Houghton Award winner Terri Winchester and South Bank Poetry and Anomalie Magazine published Wendy Young
Throughout the day the public will be able to engage with installations created by Arts Matters and The Grange.
The spoken word readings are open to the public and no booking is necessary. We look forward to seeing you there!
The days will run as follow:
Workshop (bookable to Surrey based Disability Organisations by email: email@example.com or visit www.daisyfest.co.uk) – 11-1pm
Spoken word readings (open to general public) – 2-4pm
Installations viewable throughout normal library opening times
