A creative workshop inspired by artworks in ‘From Life’
This exhibition offers an extensive survey of the role of life drawing within historic and current artist education. Led by two artist educators, attendees will view and discuss historic paintings and casts from the Royal Academy’s collection along with contemporary works and futuristic proposals detailing what drawing from life might mean in the age of virtual reality. Afterwards, the group will be guided to make their own drawings in response to a posed life model.
These workshops are designed for groups working with disabled adults or adults facing barriers accessing the art world. We advise groups be between 8 and 15 people so that we can ensure a good group dynamic while ensuring everyone attending is properly supported to engage with the workshop.
