Outside In: Journeys is an exhibition to celebrate the launch of our new charitable status, and reflect upon our journey so far and what lies ahead. It will include work from a range of artists, some who have been involved in Outside In from the beginning and others who have joined more recently.
The following activities, all free to attend, will take place at Sotheby’s during the exhibition. Note that you need to book a place on many of these as numbers are limited.
Tour of the Exhibition with Outside In Director, Marc Steene – 2pm, Fri 12th Jan
Open to all, no booking required – just show up! Note that Outside In ambassadors will also be on hand to provide more information about Outside In and the exhibition at all times during its opening.
Artists’ Breakfasts* – 9.30 – 10.30am, Mon 15 & Wed 17 Jan
Open to Outside In artists, these breakfasts offer a relaxed opportunity to explore the exhibition and meet other artists while enjoying a coffee and croissant.
Sotheby’s Networking & Behind-the-Scenes Workshop* – 10.45am-12.30pm Mon 15 & Wed 17 Jan
Run by Sotheby’s staff, this workshop for Outside In artists will provide an insight into the behind-the-scenes workings of Sotheby’s, a gallery and auction house. The workshop offers networking experience and will involve a mock auction.
Artists’ Support Day – 10.30am – 4pm, Tues 16 Jan
Do you want to sign up as an Outside In artist but would like some help with photographing work and writing an artist statement? If so, attend our Artists’ Support Day, run by Hannah, our Artist Development Coordinator. Get in touch (firstname.lastname@example.org) to book a one hour slot.
