Morning speakers – Tony Heaton,  Barbara Lisicki, Tanya Raabe-Webber, Richard Rieser.

Afternoon – using our resources.

UK Disability History Month is examining disabled artists, artists who have featured disabled people and artists who have identified with the Disability Arts Movement to bring about social change. We aim to create a social model perspective to understand the prevailing historical and present day attitudes towards disabled people, through our portrayal in Art. We have many resources for this theme www.ukdhm.org

We are working with Shape and their NDACA project, National Disability Arts Collection and Archive http://www.ndaca.org.uk/  who are collecting and cataloguing the Disability Arts Movement, where the politics of the Disability Movement was and is expressed creatively. We are jointly producing resources for schools and colleges.
