Join artist and suicide attempt survivor Daniel Regan in this series of workshops exploring suicide, loss and bereavement. Over a four week period participants will be able to utilise a number of creative techniques to express their emotions around these themes.
These workshops are open to people that have been suicidal or attempted suicide, or lost family or friends who have taken their own lives. Sessions are clinically supported by integretative psychotherapist Lizz Lewis. Participants are welcome to attend just one session or all 4, but please do sign up for all the sessions you’d like to attend.
These workshops form a part of Daniel’s project I Want to Live in collaboration with suicide respite centre Maytree. An exhibition of the project is currently on show at the Free Space Project.
Workshops take place on:
13th, 20th, 27th September & October 4th
6pm — 8.30pm
If you have any questions regarding these workshops please contact Daniel at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition, Lizz Lewis will be conducting research into the facilitation process. This will be explained at the workshop and you have no obligation to participate.
Places are limited to 12 and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you need to cancel, please give as much notice as possible so that your place can be given to those on the waiting list.
Please note that these are not art therapy sessions and are not a substitute for therapy or clinical services. If you are struggling and need support please see your GP. If you are in a crisis please contact your local crisis team or go to A&E.
