Finance Officer, Full-Time 37 Hours

We are looking for a finance professional to join our busy Finance Team at Bristol Music Trust, a charity responsible for managing the activities of Colston Hall, Bristol’s largest concert venue, and for delivering music education programmes across the city.

The role involves working closely with other teams across the organisation to provide high quality financial support whilst supporting the Financial Controller with management reporting and business analysis. You will most likely be in the early stages of your accountancy qualifications, be IT literate with strong MS Excel knowledge, have good written, verbal and presentation skills, be adept at problem solving and have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will have the ability to work to deadlines and be able to prioritise your workload.

This year is a time of major change for the Trust, we began a 2 year transformation project in June 2018 to deliver a £48.8m redevelopment programme. This will see a complete refurbishment of our 2 main Halls and the creation of a new Hall and music education centre in the cellars. This is the largest arts infrastructure investment project undertaken in the South West for many years and will deliver state of the art cultural facilities of international standing.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to further develop their skills whilst working for a vibrant arts organisation. The successful applicant will bring a sound knowledge of accounting processes, and excellent customer service skills with a desire to learn about our business. We are looking for a flexible team player, who is also able to work on their own initiative, with excellent communication skills and a positive approach, who will thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. Previous experience in the charity/arts sector is desirable, but not essential.

Apply online on our website. Closing date for applications 9.00am on Monday 21st January 2019.
