Clean Break Theatre Company
Remuneration: These are voluntary roles
Clean Break theatre company is looking for two women to join its Board of Trustees: one with the senior professional experience to chair its Finance Committee; the other a theatre practitioner with experience as a writer, director or actor. These are voluntary roles. We particularly welcome applications from Black and Asian women.
This is an exciting time for Clean Break. We began in 1979 as a small touring theatre company, set up by two women leaving prison who wanted to share the hidden stories of the challenges women face in prison and in the community. We now have a million-pound turnover and work with women theatre artists and women with experience of the criminal justice system in our building in Kentish Town, in the community, in prison and in theatres. In 2019, we will be celebrating our 40th birthday and we have just announced a new three-women leadership team. If you share our interest in and commitment to social justice, women’s voices being heard, and theatre we’d be delighted to hear from you. In line with our policy and practice, the positions are open to women only.
