Bristol Music Trust is planning the Colston Hall Redevelopment which includes a major Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) capital project known as ‘The Lantern Project’.
As part of our Heritage Lottery Funded ‘The Lantern Project’ we are looking for an experienced Community, Learning and Volunteer Senior Officer to deliver the HLF activity plan for the HLF Lantern Project and to establish Bristol Music Trust and the hall as a place of heritage activity, engagement and volunteering. We are also looking for an experienced Volunteering and Work-Placements Officer to deliver those elements within the activity plan and take responsibility for recruiting, training and giving support and induction to volunteers to meet the aspirations of the project.
The CLV Senior Officer and VWP Officer, embedded in Creative Learning and Engagement will spend the initial part of the contract developing learning programmes and building participation and evaluation into the interpretation, whilst recruiting and training supporting project staff and new volunteers. The balance of the contract will be spent on running the heritage activities with events to attract new audiences and establishing sustainable learning and community programmes. These are both fixed-term contracts over 3 years, until August 2021.
