Contact is a leading national contemporary theatre and arts organisation based in Manchester, with young people at the heart of everything we do. We work locally, nationally and internationally to provide life-changing opportunities for the next generation of creative leaders, artists and audiences, redefining theatre in the process. We produce and present a professional programme of outstanding performances, events and festivals in our building, surprising places and virtual spaces, for a young and highly diverse audience.
This is an exciting time for Contact, with a £6.5m capital re-development under way which will secure the future of Contact’s vital work with young people across Greater Manchester for the next 20 years.
You will provide high quality support for community groups, schools and colleges to access the Contact programme, including through talks, workshops and targeted group visits to shows and events. You will represent Contact at a diverse range of community and educational events and ensure Contact productions are framed in relation to the taught curriculum across all Key Stages, developing knowledge rich education resources and activities exploring the themes and issues in our work.
You will have a detailed and up to date knowledge of the education sector, experience of developing curriculum resources and experience of working with a range of community groups. Experience of Arts Award, Artsmark, Pearl or other industry wide accreditation of participation and learning is desirable. You will have excellent communication and administration skills with the ability to work on your own initiative to develop strategy and meet targets.
