The South London Gallery (SLG) is a locally, nationally and internationally recognised centre for contemporary visual art with an acclaimed and award-winning education and outreach programme.

The SLG is seeking a dynamic and proactive Heritage Education Coordinator to support the delivery of the Evidence of Us programme, an ambitious programme of work with local communities which offers a platform for people to share their stories, value their heritage and explore commonalities with others. The post will suit someone with experience of working both with schools and a wide

range of groups from local communities and individuals in an arts or heritage setting, and who is inspired by the opportunity to engage new audiences and participants in the life of the SLG.

We are particularly interested in applicants who live locally and are under-represented in museums and galleries.

This is an exciting time to join the SLG with an ambitious programme of exhibitions and events leading up to the gallery’s expansion into the former Peckham Road Fire Station.

Please complete the application form and equal opportunities monitoring form and send to with the subject line “Heritage Education Officer”.

The Heritage Education Coordinator post is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
