Technical Administrator

Job Description

Reporting to: Technical Director

Main Purpose

The Technical Administrator will provide general technical and administrative support to the technical team in the lead up to and during the 2019 Festival.

Responsibilities

• To provide administrative support to the technical team

• To assist in preparation and collation of H&S and licensing paperwork for all MIF venues

• Create and administer spreadsheets and databases as necessary

• Place orders and raise PO’s as instructed

• To assist in all technical department matters both in the office and on sites across the city where necessary

• Assist producers with technical queries including research and sourcing

• Oversee the technical store located within the Manchester office and manage the distribution of stock across festival projects

• Provide support in the recruitment of temporary technical and FOH staff for festival shows

• Liaise with crewing, security and medical supply contractors and keep effective records of shifts and bookings

• Liaise with the volunteering department where appropriate

• Any other duties that are commensurate with the post
