Mind the Gap
Remuneration: £200 fixed fee plus travel expenses
It’s a very special year for Mind the Gap, one of Europe’s leading learning disability theatre companies. It is the company’s 30th year and a decade since we moved into our stunning home, MTG Studios, based in the iconic Lister Mills in the heart of Manningham, Bradford.
On Thursday 15 November, we’re holding an event to celebrate ten years in our custom built, fully accessible studio space. To mark the occasion, we’re looking for 15 minute performances or extracts of performances by learning disabled artists and/or companies.
This is a showcase opportunity to present high quality, exciting and engaging work to an audience of peers, theatre venues, industry professionals as well as friends and family.

Submission Deadline: Friday 12 October, 5pm
What We’re Looking For:
Performances by learning disabled artists and/or theatre companies
High quality 15-minute performances or extracts of performances, which can be theatre, dance, physical story-telling or poetry. Performances will be presented in one of MTG Studios’ spaces on stage, as a walk-about or responding to the space
Completed pieces of work
Low level, simple technical requirements – stage space is 5 metres deep x 7 metres wide

How To Apply:
The submission process involves two parts:
Up to 2 Pages of A4 including:
Your name and contact details including email address and mobile phone number.
A summary of your performance piece including technical requirements
Brief details about you and your work
Evidence of the quality of your work.
You can send one or more of the following:
A link to a video of the proposed performance or one of your previous performances on an internet platform
A tour pack
Visuals from the performance piece
Link to a one-minute to three-minute long video recorded on a mobile phone telling us about your show/performance.
Email your submission to Associate Producer, Deborah Dickinson at firstname.lastname@example.org Please include your project title (a working title is fine) and the words ‘MTG 10th’ in the subject line of your email with your submission.
All submissions will be acknowledged by email.
