Arts. Kindness. Social Change.

Whatever the setting, art form, theme or audience, our work celebrates the positive in people and places, and is designed to bring different kinds of people together. We are a small team with a national and international impact. We run projects and events, commission artists, carry out research and contribute to policy at local and national level to help understand and evaluate the social impact of the arts.

Our current Head of Creative Programmes is preparing to leave People United after nine successful years with us, and we are now seeking to appoint a replacement to take up and build on this strong track record of participatory projects and artist commissions.

Working closely with the Chief Executive and managing a dedicated team including volunteers and a Project Assistant, this is a varied and engaging role, which will lead, develop and deliver outstanding creative programmes that continue to strengthen People United’s position as experts in socially engaged participatory practice. It will suit someone with a meticulously organised approach to delivering wonderfully creative work. It is important that the person joining People United shares our ethics and values, is committed to equality and diversity, and can work effectively within a small team.

If you are looking for your next creative programmes role within an ethical and small but expanding organisation, then we would encourage you to find out more about us at:
