Sharing event and exhibition in Shrewsbury


To round off the Arts Council England funded research trip that Tanya-Raabe Webber has been on around the UK and Finland, there will be a Sharing Day and Exhibition in Shrewsbury.

Places for the Sharing Day are limited, but the exhibition launch is open to all on Friday 12 April 2019. Please email Tanya should you wish to attend the Sharing Day, who can confirm if any spaces are still available:

ArtStudio01 invites you to our Sharing Day: Friday 12 April 2019, time: 12-3:45pm

Exhibition Private View: 3.45-5.30pm

‘New Ways’ presents an exhibition showcasing works from ArtStudio01 artists and a Sharing Day where Director Tanya Raabe-Webber will share her Arts Council England funded R&D project into Learning Disability Art Studios in the UK and Finland.

Cameron Morgan from Project Ability will talk about his residency at ArtStudio01 and Abid Hussain, Head of Diversity – Arts Council England, will officially open the exhibition and be presented with his portrait, painted by Tanya Raabe-Webber, commissioned by DASH at the Awkward Bastards 2 Symposium.

Venue: Participate Contemporary Artspace, 32-34 Riverside, Raven Meadows, Shrewsbury, SY1 1PJ.

A light lunch will be provided. Please inform us of any dietary requirements and access needs.

The gallery and studio space is accessible. Toilets in the studios are not wheelchair accessible but there is an accessible toilet very close by. If you are unable to attend in person, presentations will be live streamed with BSL via Facebook live. Access this here.
