Corona 4 – My Intention

FacebookTwitter

Magnolia Blossom 2019

Its the corona virus lock down. I have been identified as extremely vulnerable. Even though I don’t feel as if I am as labeled I am behaving, staying in. Poetry is a boon. I am following and releasing this first to Corona Verse Poems for a Pandemic, a facebook page administered by Janine Booth and second to Elinor Rowlands one of the primary brains behind Magical Women whose current practice includes setting themes to involve others in art (also on facebook). The current theme is My Intention. Hence my poem. I also sent this to Colin (DAO’s editor) who asked me to take this out of my system and to post early and topically. Hope it brings ya all hope.

Corona 4 – My Intention

Right here, right now
The Magnolia tree up the hill
Is at its best
Blooming on a white background
Kindly left by developers

A little further on
The two Magnolias in Wood Lane
Are at their best
Standing crooked in front of a blue house
Painted to look like Greece

Coming back around the block
The Magnolia tree close to home
May be at its best
The untidy green hedge in front of it
Stands to hide its glory

Some twelve months on
The Magnolia trees will be there
Blooming at their best
I will walk and photograph them
Released from isolation

Sounds like you have companions in your isolation, Richard: but you are at your best!

always good to have companions known in the real world as well as the virtual Nick. But virtually we can all be friends or trolls. I welcome friends and their comments
