Shadowlight Artists – August 2017 meeting

Each month the Shadowlight Artists meet to discuss news, their individual work and to plan group productions, exhibitions and other activities. The group had news that their group production “Landscapes” and Richard Hunt’s individual film “Amazing Art“, had been selected to be exhibited at the Oksa Bright Film Festival 15th-17th November. (Oska Bright Film Festival is the leading international festival of films made by, or featuring, people with learning disabilities. It is produced, managed and presented by a learning disabled team. www.carousel.org.uk/oska-bright-film-festival/ ). Danny Smiths film “Light from my Crystal” was screened at Liberty Festival at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on 15th July 2017.

Tom Breach brought in a full sketch book of drawings he had drawn over a week.

The group watched a roughcut of their new group film production called L.R.R.H which is based on “Little Red Riding Hood”. The group had shot the film over several days in July.

Danny Smith as the Grandmother looks brilliant. Kind of like OZZY Osbourne. Looking forward to seeing the final cut. Love the work you lot do always goes down well when we show your films at OVADA.
