Justin Piccirilli’s auto-ethnographic approach to his practice intertwines his anecdotal and personal experience of trauma from a life-changing accident within a wider social, political and cultural paradigm, working with print, sculpture, installation and time-based media. His research focuses on the selective political amnesia of issues such as austerity, the work capability assessment, the social model of disability and more personal themes such as the fragmentation of time in post-traumatic stress disorder with the purpose of welcoming an inclusive discussion.

Justin is currently studying for a Masters in Contemporary Art Practice at the Royal College of Art.
