Magpie Dance have launched a new free 8 eight-weeks online dance programme aimed specifically at people with learning disabilities. From Monday 11 May, anyone with access to the internet will be able to safely engage with ‘Virtually Magpie’ offering 3 dance sessions / day including classes and performance recordings from the charity’s 35 years’ archive.
Participants can access this free programme through the charity’s website or YouTube channel from Monday 11 May daily: Technique at 10am (learn a new dance style), Midday Movers (creative dance classes) and Film at 4pm (watch archive performances and see behind the scenes of the company’s projects).

Magpie Dance is a small charity usually providing dance classes and training for over 350 people with learning disabilities (of all ages for children aged 3 up to adults) in South East London and the surrounding areas. In the wake of the Covid-19 global pandemic, Magpie Dance adapted its programme to go online. They created over 150 different videos especially for their current participants whilst embracing the opportunity to offer this content to a much wider range of people.
