National arts charity Outside In is pleased to be partnering with Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft to deliver a Step Up: Exploring Collections course at the museum this autumn.
Outside In supports artists facing barriers to the art world for reasons including health, disability, social circumstance or isolation. Step Up is the charity’s training and professional development programme, supporting artists to gain arts sector skills so they feel confident to go on and take up employment, self-employment and voluntary opportunities.
Taking place over five weeks, this Step Up course will equip participants with skills in research and interpretation. The course will focus on the museum’s upcoming exhibition, ‘Disruption, Devotion and Distributism,’ which will explore the ideas and politics of Ditchling artists and craftspeople, many of which still have relevance today.
