LUMINOUS is the latest project by the Shadowlight Artists, a group of seven artists with learning disabilities. The exhibition is diverse in media and subjects and was created between December 2019 and October 2020. The LUMINOUS Virtual Gallery shows a selection of the new work including 7 Films. The film “LUMINOUS: a Project in Lockdown” gives an overview of the struggles the artists went through to complete their projects over the summer & early autumn of 2020, which they had started before Lockdown.

The exhibition is also installed in two Oxford galleries, Modern Art Oxford and Arts at the Old Fire Station. The work has been “scanned” and uploaded to the two galleries websites as a 3D walk-through. Links to these webpages can be found on the Virtual Gallery page.

Both Oxford galleries will open their doors to the public to exhibit LUMINOUS from 2nd to 23rd December, (see their websites for opening times) #ACEsupported

This Luminous Virtual Gallery is launched in partnership with Together! 2020 Disability History Month Festival Programme
