We are seeking two part time Artist Support Officers to join our Residencies & Awards team. You will provide ongoing support to visiting artists, troubleshooting repair and maintenance issues in our properties, and assisting in delivering a scheduled programme of events and visits for those artists. You will often be the first point of contact for artists who can find themselves in an unfamiliar environment when English may well not be their first or even second language. You will be required to provide a positive and professional service to artists, colleagues and partners. To ensure full cover for the position, we require one postholder to work Monday to Wednesday and the other to work Wednesday to Friday, or an alternative work pattern which meets the operational needs of the department. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to enhance their experience of working with artists, and you will join Acme at an exciting time in our history as we approach our 50th anniversary.

You will have the following:

Proven experience of supporting artists
Knowledge of contemporary arts practice
Experience of prioritising workloads, time management and dealing with conflicting deadlines
Excellent communications skills – written and verbal
Ability to resolve or de-escalate conflict situations diplomatically
Excellent MS Office skills – Word and Excel, including a proficiency in Outlook
Strong team player able to work effectively with cross departmental colleagues and clients
Ability to provide a positive and professional service to clients and colleagues
Empathy with the mission, objectives and values of Acme
Please refer to the person specification for full details of the key requirements in terms of qualification, knowledge, experience and skills.

In return, we offer:

£17,100 per annum (pro rata, full time equivalent £28,500 per annum)
A commitment to flexible working
Annual leave: 17 days (equivalent 28 days pro rata) plus bank holidays
Enhanced sick pay, maternity, paternity and adoption leave pay
Pension scheme
Cycle to Work scheme
Training and development opportunities
Employee Assistance Scheme
