The word 'Contact' is written in black, capital letters on a white background. Surrounding it is a thick, black border.

We are Contact – a theatre and performing arts venue on Manchester’s Oxford Road. We create and produce our own shows, host tours from some of the best theatre companies in the world and develop the next generation of artists, performers and community leaders.

This is an exciting time to join Contact as our next Artistic Director following a major building refurbishment.

Working to deliver Contact’s Mission to Change the Face of UK Culture, you will shape Contact’s creative output, as well as ensuring its operational and commercial effectiveness. You will provide inspirational and nurturing leadership across the organisation, directly managing Contact’s Senior Management Team, and reporting to Contact’s trustees, 50% of whom are under 30.

You will have a proven commitment to working with young people and artists, and a passion to improve access and inclusion across all areas of the organisation’s activity. You’ll have an active interest in a range of artforms, in Greater Manchester’s arts scene, and a national and global perspective. With a real eye for emerging talent, you will have a track-record in programming, organising or producing innovative, high-quality events relevant to a wide range of people.
