The Mayor of London has exciting plans for Culture and Creative Industries in the capital. This is a great opportunity to be part of a passionate team, delivering on a wide variety of projects and policy which shape culture for and with Londoners.

The role holder will provide policy and administrative support to the Mayor’s Cultural Leadership Board and other key strategic groups. This will include responsibility for developing the agenda, commissioning policy briefings, organising all meetings and associated events. It will also include leading on the recruitment of members under the direction of the related Chair, Vice Chair, Deputy Mayor and Assistant Director of the Culture and Creative Industries Unit.
You will have excellent written skills and experience in writing, commissioning and drafting briefings to the highest standards on key issues affecting London’s culture sector and creative industries.

You will have a proven track record of success in managing formal board and/or committee meetings and a good understanding of key policy and political issues affecting the culture sector and creative industries in London. You will have experience in producing tendering documents and managing research contracts commissioned by boards.

Your interpersonal skills and ability to influence and organise will be highly developed. You will have excellent attention to detail, the ability to prioritise your work in a fast-paced environment and be confident at multi-tasking. You will be able to manage relationships between senior staff across the GLA Group, as well as mayoral appointees and high-profile external board members with tact and diplomacy.
