Half Moon Theatre
Remuneration: Varied per role
Following the award of a significant Project Grant from Arts Council England, Half Moon is pleased to launch Narratives of Empathy and Resilience, a programme taking place between May and July 2021. This initiative aims to help redress the balance of the under-representation of artists working in the Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) sector. This programme will provide opportunities for artists to explore making work for young audiences, with their ‘work in progress’ presented at an industry Provocation Day.
As a result, we are seeking dynamic and enquiring artists from a range of disciplines at all stages of their careers:
1. Designer x 2
2. Composer / Sound Designer x 2
3. Writer x 4
4. Spoken Word Poet / Poet x 3
5. Assistant Director x 3
6. Trainee Dramaturg (Spoken Word Poetry) x 1
7. Specialist Performer / Artist x 2 (those whose performative artform falls outside the above categories, i.e. puppetry, clowning, Kathak, hip-hop, DJ)
Previous experience in the TYA genre is not a requirement to be selected, as we are actively encouraging applicants who maybe new to the sector.
We are an equal opportunities and disability confident employer and we are particularly welcoming applications from individuals who are underrepresented in the TYA sector.
Half Moon is a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England and receives funding from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
