Full-time (36 hours per week)

We are looking for a knowledgeable Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Officer to support Screen Scotland’s programmes of work and help us develop our understanding of EDI so we can deliver best practice across all that we do.

Reporting directly to our Head of EDI, you will support the delivery of a range of strategic projects and initiatives, such as the introduction of the BFI Diversity Standards across our funding programmes.

You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of current EDI issues, and will be able to provide clear guidance to colleagues internally, and partners externally, on your specialism. You will help us identify gaps in our EDI data, knowledge and research, and you will play a key role in actively encouraging positive changes towards how we serve underrepresented groups in all aspects of Screen Scotland’s work. You will also be involved in helping with funding activity – acting as a lead officer for funded organisations, and supporting the funding process from offering pre-application advice, undertaking assessments, feeding into panels and providing feedback post-decision.

Our ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding and experience of EDI and its role in the cultural/screen sectors, and both the Scottish and UK specific EDI legal frameworks in which we operate. You will have a proven ability to build effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders and experience of carrying out detailed assessments of proposals, options appraisals and producing concise analytical reports and recommendations to senior staff.

The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build positive relationships with customers, stakeholders and partners.
