Shakespeare’s Globe is open and welcoming audiences again so we’re currently looking for talented people to be part of our thriving recovery. Our new digital team will be working to maximise revenue, diversify our audiences and increase our reach as we approach our 25th anniversary in 2022 – and we’re looking for a Content Officer to join us.
Reporting to the Interim Digital Lead, the Content Officer will be part of the team which creates and delivers high-quality digital content including editorial publications, video, audio and other digital assets to support all aspects of the Globe’s work through content. They will need to identify internal stories and opportunities for creating rich multi-media content and support all stages of multimedia production from planning to delivery.
This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis and we are happy to discuss flexible working. This role can be worked wholly remotely at the moment (with on-site working available) but in the coming months we expect that regular on-site working, will be required (with some remote working possible).
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and plenty of experience copywriting across a variety of digital platforms. Basic image manipulation skills and knowledge of SEO for content optimization are key skills for this role. Working as part of a team, the right person must have exceptional organisational skills and be detail driven. The newly reorganised Audiences Department includes the Marketing and Digital teams, as well as Press/PR, Ticketing and Sales, Retail and Visitor and Audience Operations. They all own the customer journey from start to finish and strive to be insight driven, customer focused and digital first in approach.
Responsible for demanding revenue targets across everything we do and reaching the widest possible global audience onsite and online, we are an innovative, collaborative and creative team. Working closely with producing, education and development we build customer loyalty and diversify our live and digital audiences by creating innovative design and content to engage them and stand out. We are results oriented and measure, test and learn as we try new ideas.
The Digital team includes a Digital Product Development team and a Content Production team. They work together to deliver shared audience and revenue targets for the whole organisation.
