Colin published Benedict’s seminal manifesto as Editor of Disability Arts in London Magazine, back in September 1995. The work marked the beginnings of Disability Arts having a focus on the barriers faced by the neurodiverse community, before the term was coined. The pair have remained in touch ever since and here they discuss a raft of Benedict’s artworks on the barriers faced by neurodiverse individuals, including the performance personas of the DIV, which he has produced over the last quarter of a century.
